NIOST Clearinghouse

 

This Clearinghouse is about learning, sharing and connecting. Our goal is to provide practitioners, advocates, policy makers, researchers and anyone else interested in building systems to support the out-of-school time workforce, with a space to learn and share information about what’s working across the country to help build a skilled and stable workforce.

With this project, the National Institute on Out-of-School Time is teaming up with the National Collaboration for Youth/National Human Services Assembly to ensure project coordination, regular communication, and overall action across the Career Pathways sites. NIOST is leading the research aspects of this project. This work is being funded by Cornerstones for Kids, as well as The Packard Foundation.

 

 

Cross-Cities Network

Ongoing since 2002

Team Members: Ellen Gannett, Georgia Hall, Karen Lachance

This project connected high-level leaders from different cities and states to educate them on the dynamic landscape of after-school programs. in hopes of directing the influence, funding, and high expectations of these leaders towards a "critical mass" of associated initiatives across the country.
