HOST Members Partnering for National After-School Summit

HOST members the Afterschool Alliance and the After-School All-Stars are partnering with the USC Schwarzenegger Institute to hold the National After-School Summit on March 24, 2015, at the University of Southern California.

Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Honoree Chair of the After-School All-Stars, will be speaking, along with U.S. mayors, tech executives, educators, business leaders, and philanthropists.

The summit will focus on "why investing in after-school programs is so critical to helping our students succeed in school and in life." Attendees will discuss the importance of after-school programs on health and wellness as well as in improving college admissions and workforce preparedness and in reducing high school dropout rates, juvenile crime, gang membership and drug use. Civic and business leaders will provide unique insights on the current state of after-school programming and the impact it is having in communities across the country.

You can also view a live webcast of the event.
