Celebrate National School Lunch Week

NSLW2019 FacebookIt's National School Lunch Week, which President John F. Kennedy created in 1962 to promote the importance of a healthy school lunch in a child’s life! Here some resources to observe it in your school!

  • The School Nutrition Association is offering a toolkit full of ideas and resources for online and offline use to connect with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and the media about the event and the availability of healthy and delicious school lunches.
  • The Food Research & Action Center is inviting everyone to #RaiseYourHand for school and afterschool meals in three easy actions.
  • The U.S. Department of Agriculture is sharing a variety of fun activities and resources for teachers, kids, families, and school nutrition professionals.

The National School Lunch Program serves more than 30 million children every school day. That's something to celebrate!
